Shade Grown Yerba Mate
Yerba Mate grows well in the shade of other trees. This represents an opportunity to preserve native forest, and also to reforest currently degraded areas. Additional trees can be planted among the yerba mate groves that provide lumber, fruit, nuts, and wildlife habitat. EcoTeas has an active reforestation program.
